Mimiko lauds Ondo, foreign experts collaboration

Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko  expressed satisfaction with the level of collaboration between his government and foreign medical experts.

Mimiko, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr, Eni Akinsola, stated this during a visit to the Specialist Hospital in Akure, where a medical team from India and Bangladesh are offering free health care services to the public.

The team is in the country courtesy of Rotary International and the state government.

He commended health workers in the state for their dedication to the health care policy of his administration.

The governor was also conducted round different departments and sections of the hospital, including the dental centre, male and female theatre, millennium eye centre and screening centre by Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Adeyanju.

He commended the effort of Rotary International for the initiative.

Mimiko said, “I’ve seen the great work done and it is profound in terms of the number of patients so far attended to and in terms of the speed of their intervention, most especially the support given to them by our local experts.

“I think this is a very productive mission. We can see that our people are very happy. You can see the high turnout of our people.”
